1. About TheBreakingDeck

TheBreakingDeck is an independent software tool that helps players build and optimise decks for the Commander format of Magic: The Gathering™. It is not a game, game component, or derivative creative work — it is a utility that analyses publicly available game data (card names, mana costs, types, and rules text) to provide deck construction recommendations.

2. Intellectual Property Acknowledgement

Magic: The Gathering™, Commander™, and all associated card names, card images, mana symbols, and game mechanics are trademarks and/or copyrights of Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc.

TheBreakingDeck is not produced by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Card data and images are sourced from Scryfall. Scryfall is not produced by or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.

3. Service Description

TheBreakingDeck provides algorithmic deck optimisation, draft simulation, and collection management features. Free accounts have access to all card data and core functionality with usage-based capacity limits. Paid subscriptions unlock additional computational capacity and advanced algorithmic features.

4. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

5. Paid Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the Customer Portal.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 14 days of a charge for assistance.
• Pricing may change with 30 days' notice. Founder-tier pricing is locked for the lifetime of a continuous subscription.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from this service.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to this service.
• Use the service for any activity that violates applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

TheBreakingDeck is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for deck performance, tournament results, or any decisions made based on our recommendations. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Data & Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Analytics events are automatically deleted after 180 days. We do not store IP addresses in user activity records.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
